A treasure arrives in Athens; Sadly not the Elgin Marbles.

I love this bit of news, regarding the recently released Pins & Needles Limited Edition. It's where number 0001 ended up. I was thrilled, when the first order came in...obviously,...but was even more surprised to see 'where' it was going. Athens no less. Who says self-publishing can't be glam! Take a look at these shots of the Erechtheum:

Gorgeous Models with fabulous poses: I must thank Aya of Just Adventure and his girlfriend for modelling Dark Fall is such an attractive fashion...and, what's that I spy...a T-Shirt sporting the artwork from The Lost Crown. Crumbs. This all makes rainy Cornwall look a bit drab in comparison. Athens is the place to be.

Lastly, here's the second photo, just to finish off this short blog. It's been a real pleasure, to send out all the game packs. Part of the fun of self-publishing a title is NOT having any expectations of where the packages will end up. So, these photos have been a real treat.

Thanks for reading, and taking a look.

Jonathan

Do you want a photo of it in exotic Manchester? Nope, didn't think so.

And why not? Manchester has all sorts of sights, and charms, all of its own. I've just been watching a version of Alan Garner's Elidor, which boasts lots of filming around the city. So, feel free to pick a backdrop, and send a pic along. Could be fun. Jonathan.

Hey Jonathan! Sorry to post again, but I just had to let you know how I was getting on. Just finished Dark Fall 1 Classic Edition. I'm glad you didn't change much about it. I loved the few extras you did spruce up, like the door closing itself in the storeroom. It was lovely seeing Matilda Fly, and her haunting song, and Andrew Verney. I always liked them as a couple, for some reason. I'm actually writing a fan fiction about it, since she mentions in her note that there's only one man here, and she's referring to Crabtree, but Betty's note to Edith shows that she was talking to Verney. ;) Can't wait to write that one. Anyway, the companion was very useful, and I got some new answers from the ghosts I didn't get teh first time. :) I'm moving on to the Director's Cut of Lights Out, and I'm so excited. So many new things about it, just from reading your introduction from your Companion! I'll let you know how I like it. ;)

I guess it depends when Matilda wrote, or started, the letter, and whether she considers Verney a suitable canditate for her plans.

Also, whether she is telling the truth. She doesn't seem to know quite who the letter is for, if anyone! I half imagine Matilda writing her letters, in the Restaurant, exclaiming loudly who, why and where she is writing to. A big show off, basically.

She's been in the hotel for a few days, based upon recieving post from London. Also, Verney's not a Dorset man; he was born in Kent, (like me), and now owns a shop in the South East. I don't think Matilda would be swept off her feet by Verney, and she certainly wouldn't enjoy a life with an eccentric puzzle-box maker, and his mother! She does seem keen on George, though, as he owns the hotel...money!...but his attentions are directed elsewhere...much to her annoyance. She's looking to leave London as far behind, as possible, and start a new life. Gloria Grable seems the one to provide that 'new life', in more ways than one. But, a lot of these ideas are explored in DF:LS, so no spoilers from me!

Wow. I never thought about it like Fly would be interested in money, especially since she came into it with Ms. Grable's generous offer. ;) Except we didn't find any money in Fly's room, so maybe Grable hadn't given it to her yet. And the letter that is written in her room, I always thought anyway, was that fateful night after the Song Night, since she stopped writing because of a "knock at the door", which is the Dark Fall signature move. Sorry, I just love speculating about this. And I love how one of the hidden messages from the goggles in the first game hint to a "map man", who's in Lights Out. ;)

Speaking of which, I'm playing right now. It's great. I love the added interaction with the ghosts, makes it much more enjoyable. And I have no idea how Mahlikia is related to the Dark Fall, so I can't wait till the 3rd game to hopefully answer some questions. ;)

And I so wish I knew where your #1 buyer got that shirt! It's awesome! I'd buy it! :P

My Pins and Needles arrived yesterday (only seven days to Australia - brilliant!), and I can't remember being so excited since TLC. The deliciousness of knowing my package was actually posted in Nigel country was an absolute thrill - far better than having it come from some random online games shop. I wish I'd known about it sooner - but it's lovely to be No.243. I installed the games immediately and put the soundtrack on my iPod - which at least got me out for a walk (fortunately a daytime one, as my pounding heart wouldn't have survived a night one) before returning to Fetch Rock. I can't wait until Lost Souls comes out ... PLEEEEASE don't let me be run over by a bus before it's released! And please let Nigel out for another ramble soon - I miss him! - Caroline Sinclair

Hi Caroline,

Lucy and Nigel's next adventure has already been written. It's going to be much creepier than seeking The Lost Crown, and takes them both away from Saxton, for nocturnal adventures and ghost-hunting! Saxton fans can also look forward to seeing some familar characters return in the sequel, as well as get a chance to explore some of Saxton's lesser known haunts.

Glad your package arrived! I always say 5-10 days to anywhere in the world...but, the post service (here) often lets me down. We seem to have constant strikes, these days, which doesn't help. So, I am more than pleased to hear number 243 arrived safe, sound and on time!

So excited, and can't wait! DF Director's Cut is brilliant - (wish I had a Fetch Rock mug to drink my hot chocolate from while playing it ...)

Don't forget to drop by Fetch Rock Lighthouse to check up on Cornwall's oddest tourist attraction. Jonathan.
